Relationships :)

Hi there.

I have a lot to talk about tonight.  A lot.  And silly me has been slacking yet again with my posts.  Tisk tisk.  My apologies.

Relationships.  Aren't they great?  Now, I'm not just talking about dating.  I'm talking about new friendships, old friendships rekindled, family ties, etc..

Did you see what I did there?  "I'm not just talking about dating." Yea.  Go ahead, let out a little  "Eeeeeeeeeeeep!"for me.  It's official.  I have a boyfriend.  The world has ended.  Well not really.  Obviously.  But it sure is exciting!  Woooooo!  His name is Devon, but if you ever meet him, I won't introduce you to him as Devon.  I'll say, "this is my boyfriend." Wanna know why?  Because if I say his name, he doesn't have anything to say.  And that makes for an awkward situation. We all know how awkward I am, so just imagine the awkwardness that is attracted me.  (It's that bad..) Now look at this adorable picture and tell me you don't love us:

Now that I've bored you with my happiness for a hot sec, let's move on: new friendships.

We recently had Big/Little Reveal for Alpha Phi Omega, and I took another Little.  Meet Amanda!

And ignore my awful appearance.  I'm covered in clay from ceramics and my hair is awful from wearing a disguise as part of the reveal process.  Ugh.  Anyway, she's just wonderful!  And I can't wait for her to branch out in our chapter and see what amazing things she will bring to the table!  Welcome to Fierce.  Chicka BAMF!

Now some old friendship business...  I don't really have any, except that I got to see Dani Pugh in her natural environment last weekend!  We had our sectional conference for APhiO at Ohio University and to save some money we stayed in Columbus on Friday night at Dani and Pat's house and then got up SUPER early to drive the rest of the way on Saturday morning.  Here's some of the crew chilling on the steps at the Pugh residence:

Here's a few more pictures from our Sectionals shenanigans:

Me looking movie star-esque. :)

Colin with his APhiO snapback!

Taylor and I before leaving Dani and Pat's at 6:30am.

This weekend is Easter!  I'm excited to go home for some of Aunt Kelli's tuna noodle casserole and to decorate Easter eggs with my cousins!  More to come, I promise!

Happy reading.  Stay excellent, ME.

Let the crafting begin!

Oh hey y'all.

(That was disgusting, but I'll leave it there just because it made me laugh a little.)

So yesterday was the beginning of my crafting week!  YAY!

Here's the product:

Ignore my sassy facial expression and lack of make-up/life in my face, and appreciate that head wrap!  It's wonderful!  I made two yesterday.  And I love them both. A lot.

So yea.. that's all I accomplished yesterday.  Whoops.  Bridget and I watched The Odd Life of Timothy Green also, and we had some delicious chicken for dinner.  When I say delicious, I mean like life-changing, make you salivate all over kind of delicious.  She took chicken breast, attempted to fillet them (but really she just cut them in half, hahahaha.. it was funny), stuffed them with pineapple and cream cheese, and finally, she wrapped them in bacon.  YUM.

Other than that.... yea.. my spring break is so exciting.  SO exciting.  But I still like it.  More to come.

Happy reading.  Stay excellent, Me.

Titles.. they're overrated most of the time anyway.

Oh my goodness, oh my goodness!!!

It's spring break.  And I literally haven't blogged in at least a month (I think it's been longer but I'm too ashamed to look at exactly how long it has been.. :/)  Hence the oh my goodness, oh my goodness being said above.  My apologies!  Also, I feel like I always have to apologize for not posting when I actually get around to posting.  But you do have to give me some credit, I did stay true to the whole posting every Sunday thing for a solid 6 weeks or so.  That's some high priority commitment right there, and that doesn't usually happen with me.  I tend to stray away from commitment.. at least that's what I've noticed in my life thus far.  But that's all about to change!  More on that subject in posts to come though (don't want to jinx a good thing too soon!)

So some of you may know that my grandpa was having some tiny little trouble with his heart recently.  Well, he had surgery last week and all seems to be going well!  He's a tough old bird.  He has tons of love and support from his family, and I know he wouldn't leave us hanging.  :)  Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts during our nervous point though.  It's greatly appreciated!

Enough of the sappy stuff.. I'll just make myself cry again.  I literally cried 3 times on my drive home from BG on Friday afternoon/evening.  Why?  I have absolutely no idea. I'm a baby, and sadly, I'm okay with that realization.

On a brighter note, I took my poor self and went to bdubs for the first time since returning to the carnivore world on my way through Sidney! It was so magnificently delicious that I never wanted it to end.  EVER.

OH YEA!  I never shared that.  On Wednesday, February 20th, it was exactly one year of being a vegetarian.  Most people assumed I would celebrate with a nice juicy steak, but no.  I waited until the following week on Monday night to eat a piece of chicken.  It was yummy.  And I didn't get sick. SCORE!

And then came my attempt at being gluten free for lent.  It lasted one week.  Not only was I completely starving, but every time I ate something that was made specifically gluten free (i.e. gluten free bread or pasta) I got very sick with an upset stomach and a headache.  So I didn't want to torture myself for 40 days.  Instead, I have decided to do one pinterest work-out a day for 40 days.  That's more like it.

Hmmmm.. Anything else new?  I don't think so.  I'm still working at a daycare, I'm still busting my butt to meet deadlines for my ceramics class, and I'm still in APhiO.

OH!  I recently applied for the study abroad program and other scholarships for Spain.  That was exciting.  AND, I applied for my passport!  It's so nerve-racking yet exciting to be preparing for my trip this far in advance.  I can't wait for this summer and finally the fall so I can be on my way and one step closer to completing my education!

This week's agenda:  crafting, sleeping, eating, crafting, eating some more, sleeping a little more, snapchatting, blogging, eating again, crafting, and sleeping.

Today specifically: potato skins and an infinity scarf.  Yep.  That's right.  This girl made potato skins for lunch.  Delicious!  Here's the recipe link: Potato Skins!  Try them!  They're good.  And so is the dipping sauce!

Well, I think that's all for now.

Happy reading.  Stay excellent, Me.
